Tablet Wishes

Things I’m hoping to see in the new tablet that Apple is set to release today:

1) Please have wifi and 3G connectivity similar to what Amazon’s Kindle has (whispernet) and not have it tied to a cell network that will make me have to get another contract. Please don’t do this Stevie.

2) The user interface has to be mind blowing which I have a feeling it will be. Gizmodo had an awesome video mock up of what one designer thinks it could look like. Needless to say, it was gorgeous.

3) Battery life isn’t that big of an issue for me bc I’m always connected in some fashion. That said, 6-8 hours is a nice range to have it per charge. But if this thing will do HD content, it’s going to need a decent battery.

4) The Apple effect: What I mean here is the ability to just work right out of the box. I know a piece of technology is good when my wife can pick it up and in five minutes have it completely down. The iPod and iPhone were both this way and I’m hoping this product is no different.

Have all of these things and Apple, as always, will get my money when it’d released. Tie it to a cell carrier and it’ll be a tough sale for Joel.

Agreed on the above but for me it has to be priced properly as well or I’m not throwing my hard earned money!

Also a small typo: “will get my money when it’d released” when it’s released.

What’s a good price point for you? I’m curious. The highest I think I’m willing to go is $700. And that will take a lot of convincing for the wifey.

Don’t you ever call out my typos on my own blog again. haha
